Jia Li
Jia Li is a documentary cinematographer, director and editor. Her background in studio art, journalism, and interaction science has led to a wide-ranging documentary pursuit spanning art, global geopolitical tides, and telling the complex stories of migration and identity. A close collaborator of documentary directors, she brings a sensitive, intimate lens to stories of women, people of color, and spaces where cultures overlap. Her work has won Emmy, Edward R. Murrow, Ellies, Vimeo Staff Picks and Webby awards.​​​​​​​
Yiwei Chen
Yiwei Chen is a New York City based documentary director and editor whose work critically explores social and cultural issues. With an MFA in Film from the School of Visual Arts and a background in journalism, Chen delves into diverse subjects, including immigrant rights movements, the Asian-American music industry, and contemporary women’s voices.
Chen's recent documentary, Audry Funk, which premiered at the New York Independent Film Festival, showcases feminist rapper and social activist Audry Funk. The film chronicles Funk's journey from Mexico to the U.S. as she uses her music to advocate for social justice.
In addition to her long-term projects, Chen collaborates with editorial and commercial clients, including Google, The New York Times, Alibaba, VOGUE, TOPIC and others.
Shaoyi Zhang
Shaoyi Zhang is a globally recognized portrait photographer, renowned for his profound ability to encapsulate the human spirit through the lens of his camera. His journey into photography began at age 12 when his grandfather gifted him a vintage Zeiss Ikonta camera. Initially pursuing a degree in biotechnology, Zhang redirected his path towards photography, earning a Master’s in Digital Photography from the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York.
Throughout his career, Zhang’s work has received numerous accolades, including the Gold Winner at the Tokyo International Foto Awards and the Guest Jury Award from the National Council on Aging. These recognitions highlight his ability to address social issues through powerful visual storytelling. Zhang’s unique blend of technical mastery and deep empathy has cemented his reputation as an influential voice in contemporary portrait photography.
